The downpour in Mumbai and suburban areas on Monday hit railway services between Mumbai and Pune,as several trains ran late. The Central Railway also informed that due to water logging in Guntakal Division between Mantralaya Road and Iranagallu stations some trains had to be either rescheduled or diverted.
The Deccan Queen and Pragati Express were late due to the huge water logging in Thane and Kalyan. Due to the downpour in Mumbai has hit the railway services. The Deccan Queen and Pragati Express took off about an hour late. Even though the Deccan Queen had departed on time,it had to make a few halts like the one in Mulund. The rail tracks between Dombivali and Kalyan are submerged creating problems for commuters, Hemant Tapale of Pune-Mumbai Pravasi Sangh told The Indian Express.
The Mumbai office of the Central Railway deployed their personnel to remove water logging and bring the service to normalcy.
Meanwhile,the diverted trains in Guntakal division are as follows: 6352 Nagarcoil-CSTM diverted via Guntakal,Bellari,Hubali,Miraj and Pune. 6351 CSTM-Nagarcoil via Pune-Miraj-Hubali-Bellari-Guntakal. 1028 Madras-CSTM diverted via Guntakal-Hubli-Miraj and Pune. 6382 Kanyakumari-CSTM has been diverted via Guntakal,Hubli,Miraj and Pune. Similarly 6381 CSTM-Kanyakumari,6530 Bengaluru-CSTM,6529 CSTM-Bengaluru,1041 CSTM-Madras,1042 Madras-CSTM,2628 New Delhi-Bengaluru,2627 Bengaluru- New Delhi,2163 Dadar- Madras,2164 Madras-Dadar have also been diverted.
1013 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Coimbatore,1014 Coimbatore-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus,6501 AhmedabadSecunrabad,6614 Coimbatore-Rajkot,6339 CSTM-Nagarcoil,6340 Nagarcoil-CSTM,1043 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus- Madurai have also been diverted.
