Through a series of eight workshops, the Avyudaya Centre for Transformation aims to make leaders out of ordinary people
Whilst the world continues to reel under the effects of the economic slowdown and seeks help from leaders of various organisations worldwide, the Avyudaya Centre for Transformation aims at transforming ordinary people into confident leaders who can battle any adversity.
Elaborating on the topic, one of the founders of the organisation Monica Gupta says,The Avyudaya Festival,on from May 2 to May 8 will be conducting a series of eight workshops modeled around the theme,Leadership in Adversity, which aims at helping people (leaders) manage chaos effectively and emerge as transformed human beings. In todays turbulent times, the role of a leader is changing drastically, requiring abilities to lead through chaos, create an environment of trust and innovation, and redefine ways to use adversity as an advantage. One of the best ways to help people handle adversity is to help them experience all those things that allow them to get in touch with their own self and understand their own brilliance, courage and creativity.
Papiya Banerjee, another founding says,The workshops have been specifically designed keeping in mind the fact that traditional training programs based on information broadcasting and content delivery have limited impact on learning and behavioral changes. So,countries like Canada and America have incorporated methods that have an impact on the behaviour of a person. As a result of this,we thought of having similar workshops in India.
Banerjee says,We will be bringing under one roof some of India’s finest gurus, philosophers, teachers and resources who will help to bring about a different level of transformation amongst participants and create a new leadership capacity for action, and build an environment for creativity and innovation. The eight workshops have themes like Awakening the heart of Leadership,Changing Leadership Paradigm,Spirit Centered Leadership,Feedback and Feed Forward. All these separate workshops aim at improving one key aspect of an individual,so as to mould him or her into a perfect all round leader, he adds.
