Sri Seetha Rama Kalyana Mahotsavam to be celebrated

Shree Hari Bhajana Samaj will be celebrating the Sri Seetha Rama Kalyana Mahotsavam on April 18 and 19. The festival will consist of the Asthapati Bhajan,the Sampradaya Bhajan the Dholotsavam,and the Unchaviruthi,which will be conducted by the temple priests. A chariot procession of Utsav Moorthies will be taken out within the precincts of the temple. In addition to this the new year of the Tamilians will be celebrated on April 14 at the temple.

Hanuman Jayanti celebrated

The Shree Untade Maruti Mandir at Rastapeth celebrated Hanuman Jayanti on April 9. The day began with the Janmotsav Aarti. A chariot procession of Lord Hanuman was taken out in the evening within the temple premises. The Maha aarti was carried out in the evening at 7 pm. The Rudra Abhishekam on April 6 and the Ganesh and Hanuman Yagya preceded the jayanti on April 7.

Panguni Uthiram held

The Shri Subramanya Swamy temple at Dehu Road celebrated the Panguni Uthiram on April 8. The programme began at 8 am and ended at 8.30 pm. As a part of the celebrations,a special abhishekam to Lord Karthik was also held. In addition to this there was maha aarti and maha prasadam for the devotees who came for the event. Valli Kalyanam was also conducted along with which the Utsav Murthi procession which was also held.

Marathi book released

A Marathi book entitled,‘Sanganak Vishwatil Mahaguru’ written by Deepak Shikarpur,which contains the success stories of many IT,professionals,Industrialists,and a host of other visionaries. In addition to that it contains success stories of companies like Hotmail,Infosys,Ebay,Exite,Web TV and so on.This is the 13th book written by Deepak and it was launched on April 3 at a function held at the Symbiosis College at Senapati Bapat road. The event was presided over by computer expert Achyyut Godbole.

Blood donation camp held

The Tirupathi Institute of Management recently organised a blood donation drive in association with the Janakalyan Rakta Samiti wherein the villagers of Khed,Shivapur,Velu,Shindewadi,Sasewadi,Gogalwadi and employees of various industries around the area participated in the blood donation program. The products made from the donated blood included fresh frozen plasma,platelets,coagulants,white and red blood cells. Employees of companies like CERMET Resistronics Pvt. Ltd. Synergytech Automation Pvt.Ltd. also participated in the drive.
