Zikomo,the fine dining restaurant located in Baner,has come up with a new theme called the ‘Zikomoscope’,wherein they will be offering a unique dining experience that gels with the themes of various Hollywood and Bollywood blockbusters. Available every Sunday for brunch,the cuisines will be made according to the movies being screened. The experience will also include games,quizzes and trivia sharing about the movies. Some of the themes planned under Zikomoscope include Mafia Sundays and musical brunches amongst others. Zikomoscope will start off with the screening of the movie,The Godfather with a Sicilian menu on September 18,followed by movies like Top Gun,with an American menu on Sseptember 25.

Corporate Affair

The Courtyard by Marriott,has come up with a ‘Corporate Thali’ that is aimed at targeting working professionals in the Hinjewadi area. The thali comes complete with a welcome drink,starters,main course,dessert,and a traditional Indian chai or the famous filter coffee from South India. It is priced at Rs 399 each,inclusive of taxes,and will be available from 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm at the MoMo Cafe at Courtyard by Marriott.

Mystic Masala at the Taj Blue Diamond is hosting a Frontier Food Fest that will feature delicacies from north India. On till September 18,the dishes will be prepared by chef Ramesh Chandra from Dera,Taj Chandigarh,and will be priced at Rs 900,plus taxes,per person. Some of he dishes that will be available during the festival include Amritsari Pithi alli Machhi ,Multani Paneer Tikka,Baluchi Raan – a speciality from Baluchistan,Pindi Chhole and Gyanni da Kulfi Falooda.

Food gets festive

This month has been one of back-to-back food festivals at Hotel Sagar Plaza. It started with the Maharashtrian Food Festival,moved on to the ongoing Oriental food festival (September 13 – 19) and will conclude with the Biryani Festival (September 20 – 25). The delicious dishes are being served at Tangerine,the multi-cuisine restaurant at the hotel. While the Maharashtrian food festival had Zunka Bhakar,Puran Poli,Kothimbir Vadi and so on,the Oriental one includes flavours from China,Malaysia and Thailand. The festival is on for lunch and dinner and includes a wide array starters,main course and dessert.

From Down South

The Oakwood Premier,Koregaon Park Annexe,is currently holding a South Indian Food Festival at their premises that will go on till September 25. To be held at their in-house restaurant Sen5es,the fesitval will feature dishes like Appams ,Dosas,Avial ,Olan,among others.

Dr Nandita Shah,who focuses on healing through changes in diet,is conducting a Peas vs Pills seminar at Ista Hotel,Nagar Road between 9 and 5.30 pm. It will also include three ‘healthy’ meals.
