Indian cagers notch up another win

Continuing their form from the match on Thursday,the Indian girls scored a convincing 94-45 win in the FIBA Asia U-16 Basketball Tournament at the Shiv Chattrapati Stadium in Balewadi on Friday.

Coach Tirthesh Guha was upbeat after the good show.“ The defence has improved by leaps and bounds,” he said.

The team began on a positive note and seized the initiative in the opening minutes. It took a lead of 42-21 at half-time.

India will now play Thailand for the fifth-sixth place playoff on Saturday.
