Cheating case against builder
The Hinjewadi police have registered a case against a land developer and his two associates for selling 2,000-square feet land they were developing without the permission of the owner. Makarand Gudare (35) of Sangvi has filed a complaint with Hinjewadi police against builder Pushpa Mujrani (50), resident of River Road,Pimpri,and his two associates Santosh Wakadkar (35),a resident of Wakad and Harish Wadia of Pimpri. According to the complaint,Gudare was duped by the trio whom he had given the land for development. Gudare had given his 2,000-square feet plot at Wakad to Mujrani Developers owned by Pushpa Mujrani. The two had signed a contract according to which,Mujrani had to pay Rs six lakh to Gudare. But Mujrani paid only Rs two lakh and gave two cheques of Rs two lakh each on Wadias bank account and the cheque bounced. Meanwhile,Mujrani sold the land to Wakadkar without informing Gudare. Gudare then filed a complaint Hinjewadi police.
We have asked the accused to give us the details of the dealings. Primary investigations have revealed that Gudare was cheated of Rs 11 lakh, said PSI Kadam of Hinjewadi police.
Man held for cheating
The cyber crime cell of Pune police have arrested a consultant to various pharmaceutical companies for duping a Karvenagar-based businessman of Rs 96 lakh. Based on the complaint registered by Madhav Joshi,managing director,Gracious Herbal Pvt Ltd,cyber cell police have arrested Ajaykumar Dasture (49),who was his partner in the firm,under 403,408 and 420 of Indian Penal Code.
Dasture,with the help of emails,portrayed that he had many international patents on herbal medicine and had close ties with an Indonesian-based company Sanbay Farma. Believing Dasture,Joshi gave him a cheque of Rs 96 lakh. Dasture bought a flat,a Honda city car and furniture with that money.
