Check up camp
As a part of Silver Jubilee Year celebration,Poona Hospital & Research Centre had organised a camp for congenital heart diseases in association with Gulve Hospital,Narayangaon. Dr Shashikant Gulve,paediatrician,from Narayangaon,started the screening of patients from Narayangaon and surrounding areas one month before the camp. The patient requiring expert opinion registered for the camp. Dr Jagdish Hiremath,eminent cardiologist from Poona Hospital examined the patients. Poona Hospital had arranged to do the Colour-Doppler free of cost for all the patients registered for the camp. From among a total of 42 patients,a newly born to 14 year old were found to have problems like ASD,VSD,etc. The camp has created awareness and guidance was given to the parents.

Imran Shakh M.Pharm Sem I student of M.C.E Society’s Allana College of Pharmacy received best poster presentation award on the work “Formulation and evaluation of anti-ulcer herbal mouth gel” under the guidance of Dr Kiran S Bhise and Ruksana Rub at International Conference on Herbal Drug Research Future Prospective at JSS College of Pharmacy Ooty. Nearly 303 posters were presented during the conference.

Yakult,a probiotic health drink came to Pune after its sucess in Mumbai recently.
