Golden Jubilee celebrations

The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) will be celebrating its golden jubilee from August 3 to 6. The three-day event will witness a number of activities,including a quiz contest,football match with the alumni,wreath laying and so on. A souvenir shop will be inaugurated on August 4,followed by the release of the golden jubilee logo. Balloons with the logo will be released in the sky during the event. One of the most important highlights of the event would be the concluding lecture on ‘Living a passionate life’ by author Chetan Bhagat,which will take place at the Dhanvantari Hall at 6 pm on August 6.

Healthcare academy

The Sancheti Healthcare Academy (SHA) has been created as a dedicated centre of teaching healthcare management,hospital management and physiotherapy. The institute offers various diplomas and degrees that will cover rigorous fundamentals,with an optimal blend of theory and practical knowledge. The students are required to do their internship in various sectors of healthcare,along with projects,thereby getting hands-on experience. The academy has built infrastructure that comprises IT labs,library and more.

Baby cell which is the Umbilical cord blood banking division of Regenerative Medical Services would like to spread awareness of this simple,painless procedure amongst all parents that can help secure the health of your loved one by declaring August 15 as Umbilical Cord Banking Day. On this day any parents who register with Baby cell and deliver their baby on August 15, will receive Cord Blood Banking for Rs 15,000,which is one-fifth of the actual price. For all children born in the month of August whose parents have enrolled as a corporate social responsibility initiative will get a discount.
