Doctors were able to manage two patients with swine flu infection who were on ventilator support for over 15 days. They were taken off ventilator support on Monday.
Dr S T Pardeshi,Chief Medical Officer,Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) said 19 persons were detected with the swine flu infection on Monday but they were treated immediately. Till date,two persons are admitted in the Intensive Care Unit and are on ventilator support in PMC area while Dr Milind Jawale,medical officer,Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) there is one patient on ventilator support. Two persons were detected with swine flu infection in PCMC area on Monday.
At Ruby Hall Clinic,intensivists Dr Prachee Sathe and Dr Tejas Patel said the patient who was in his mid 40s was admitted more than a fortnight ago with respiratory complaints. Initially,he was put on non-invasive ventilation but was intubated after his condition did not improve. Tamiflu and other medicines were had been started immediately and on Monday he was taken off ventilator support.
District civil surgeon Dr Vinayak More said 21 new patients were detected with the swine flu infection in the district. On Monday,27 persons were discharged after treatment.
