Shailendra Singh on his film based on Kolhapur and his venture into making a fictional biopic on Lalit Modi
Shailendra Singh,head,Percept Pictures Company,announced the first brand film,Welcome to Kolhapur,with Sanjay Ghodawat Group. Talking about the movie,that stars Shreyas Talpade and Neha Dhupia,he says,It will be about products of Ghodawat Group and Kolhapur city,but to viewers,it will be a normal commercial movie,with a good storyline and all ingredients of a good movie. Speaking more about it he says that the movie will establish Kolhapur as a tourist destination and a popular pilgrimage spot. Right from its hot and spicy food to the famous footwear,the city was never unknown. The famous Mahalakshmi Temple is one of the Shakti Peeths. The film will focus on the legacy of the city, says Singh.
He also talked about the green signal from IPL commissioner Lalit Modi to make a fictional-biopic on his life. We have just got the nod and havent decided on cast yet. The dream is to cast Shahrukh Khan for Lalit Modis character; however,we might also consider Shahid Kapoor,Saif Ali Khan or Aamir Khan. We also havent decided who will direct the movie either, he said.
