The trombone meets the piano in harmonious symphony on September 21 at Mazda Hall,Dastur School,Camp. Noted thrombone player Eric Le Chartier’s and celebrated pianist Jamal Moqadem’s collaborations have resulted in a double faceted project which is partly devoted to classical French music on the trombone and piano-trombone duets as they explore differentcreative styles of music. The duo are interested teaching their music to local artists in all the places they visit to perform through scheduled classes and workshops. Chartier is a regular guest musician in several musical ensembles which specialise in early music such as La Grande Ecurie,la Chambre du Roy,Le Cercle de l’Harmonie,and the Toulouse Chamber Orchestra. He was invited to play in a Baroque music festival in Santa Ana,Costa-Rica in October 2010. Moqadem’s affair with the piano started when he was five years old. He has played at the Essaouira festival,Morocco and many other festivals in France.
