Dhiware new CID chief

Senior IPS officer Ashok Dhiware,currently the joint commissioner of Pune police,will now take charge as chief of state Criminal Investigation Department,headquartered in Pune.

Senior IPS officer Ashok Dhiware,currently the joint commissioner of Pune police,will now take charge as chief of state Criminal Investigation Department (CID),headquartered in Pune. Dhiware has been transferred to CID on promotion. The post was vacant after the retirement of former CID chief S P S Yadav.

Additional commissioner of police S K Singhal (administration) has been promoted and he would be replacing Dhiware to become the new joint commissioner of Pune police.

Dhiware and Singhal were among the 41 senior IPS officers in the state police who have been transferred. The order was passed by the state home department on Monday.

P D Pawar,special inspector general of police (Motor transport),Pune,has been transferred to prisons department on promotion. He will be the additional director general of police (prisons department),Pune.

Special inspector general of police Rajendra Singh,who was heading the Maharashtra Intelligence Academy at Ramtekdi has been transferred to Nagpur. Singh will be replaced by special inspector general of police Dalbir Bharati,currently posted at Amravati.

Additional commissioner of police Prabhat Kumar of South region,Pune,has been promoted to Commissioner of Highway Police in Mumbai. D Kanakratnam,joint commissioner of Nagpur police,has been transferred to state CID Pune. Suresh Mekhala,superintendent of Yavatmal police and C G Kumbhar,superintendent of Jalgaon police have been promoted and transferred to Pune city as additional commissioners of police.
