A one-day workshop on personality development for girls was organised under the aegis of Neville Wadia Institute of Management Studies and Research in association with Student Welfare Department,University of Pune. More than 45 Management Colleges under UoP,participated in the workshop. Capt CM Chitale,Dean of Management Faculty alongwith MM Andar,secretary of Modern Education Society and SR Dastane,director NWIMSR inaugurated the event. The speakers included,Asha Naik,Sr HR Professional and a behavioural trainer,Vivek Phadke,a counsellor and trainer,Arjya Mishra,head HR at RSB Group,and Hyacinth Arya,a corporate trainer in communication and soft-skills along with Avinash Dharmadhikari,Ex-IAS and founder of Chanakya Mandal,who highlighted the importance of personality in information age to excel in the managerial set up,where a significant role is expected to be played by the girls in our society. All the speakers elaborated various facets of human personality and highlighted the parameters that make good and pleasing personality.

Women’s day celebrations
A Seminar on Women Prowess was organised by the International Institute of Information Technology (I2IT) ,as a part of the International Women’s Day celebrations,in Mohini Chhabria Convention Centre at its Hinjewadi campus. Uma Ganesh (CEO,Global Talent Track), Teesta Setalwad (Padmashree awardee,journalist,and social activist),Vishal Bhandari (painter,writer and film director ) and Aruna Katara (Executive Director,I2IT) spoke on the occasion. Talking about the opportunities available to women in modern India,Setalwad spoke on education for the weaker sections of the society. Bhandari gave examples from his personal life and the films he has directed and discussed the status of women in Afghanistan and the social problems women in India face in their daily lives. People from all walks of life,faculty and students attended the event.

Technovision 2010
Almost two thousands students took part to show case their engineering and management talents at the event Technovision 2010. With competitions like Paper presentation,Robotics,Model making,Technical quiz,Role play,Ad-mad show and so on the national level technical occurrence was held at Jayantrao Sawant College of Engineering recently. The college came up with eco-friendly activities like plantation of 25 saplings following the 25 competitions.The CEO of Kayani Energy System,Bhushan Joshi,inaugurated the event.
