The world looks different when viewed through a child’s heart and as students of the NOS (National Open School) stream of the Rewachand Bhojwani Academy (RBA) rallied along for photo-walks,what emerged were new ideas and insights. This group of 15 and 16-year-old photographers will be exhibiting their work at a show titled ‘Green Frames’,that will be inaugurated today at RBA,Camp, between 8 am and 12 noon. It will then move to a city gallery. With the help of their English teacher, poet and educationist Randhir Khare, the students used photographic images to enhance their creative writing. With a digital camera, they recorded images that struck them, from the contrasts of forms, colours and textures to the startling effect that light has on nature’s beings. Khare says,“The exhibition is an example of the exciting creative programme that the school uses to make learning a stimulating experience. The NOS stream has been enlivened by the creative intervention of photography, creative writing, music and so on. Learning should be divergent so that they don’t just finish an exam but discover the amazing potential within themselves.”
