“My son was being taunted and ragged for the past 10-15 days. He used to ignore it and never told us about it. He was pushed down the stairs once and had stones thrown at him. “His unit tests were going on and after school ended at 4:30 pm,he was going to take a bus home when the students came and started beating him. Just then,a teacher came by and the boys stopped. My son and his friends started walking towards the bus stop. When the teacher left, those 10-15 students started to beat him again. One boy tried to hit him on the head with a brick but Aditya ducked and the brick hit his neck. They continued beating him till Aditya’s friends intervened,” said Bhandarkar.

“Finally, his friends put him in an auto and sent him home. We then took him to the hospital. He will be in the hospital for four more days. We were waiting for the medical report to file an FIR. I also approached the school and registered a complaint. They have promised to take proper action against the offenders,” said Bhandarkar.

“I work in the Gulf and was supposed to return on August 25,but have now extended my stay,” added Bhandarkar.

The school principal was unavailable for comment.
