Motorcyclist dies on Pune-Satara Road
A motorcyclist died after he lost control and hit the road divider near Katraj Snake Park on Pune-Satara Road in the early hours of Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Santosh Arjunrao Naik (35),a resident of Akashdarshan Apartment on Katraj,Kondhwa Road. The complaint was lodged at the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. According to the police,Naik was going home on his motorcycle. While driving at high speed from Swargate towards Katraj he lost control and the motorcycle hit the road divider. Residents and police rushed him to a hospital but he was pronounced dead. Police sub-inspector Y A Nikam is investigating the case.
Now,distance course in fashion design
For the first time in the state,fashion designing courses at diploma,graduate and post graduate levels will be offered through distance mode. Students will be taking online sessions as well as weekend classes in the course for practicals. Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University in association with School of Fashion Technology run by Maharashi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS) will offer the courses.
Another swine flu death,toll reaches 203
One more swine flu death was reported by health officials. Sixty-five-year-old Venketamma B from Andhra Pradesh died of H1N1 virus on September 17 at Jehangir Hospital.
