Well done,PMC
This is to acknowledge some very useful assistance and service provided by the PMC in resolving a long-standing issue related to some property tax issues in Balewadi where the official records had my name spelt incorrectly and the wrong address on the tax records. My efforts to get this rectified has been ‘under process’ for over three years,with my attempts to get this resolved at the various PMC offices (in Baner,Aundh,HQ) yielding no results. I was made to run from pillar to post for fairly obvious reasons,but I refused to take the easy route this time around,as a matter of principle. Finally,out of frustration I sent an email to the PMC,which goes directly to the municipal commissioner Mahesh Zagade’s office. I received an acknowledgement of my mail within 20 minutes,as well as a notification that this had been forwarded to one Mr Kanade for his follow-up,since it was his department. He in turn ( within half an hour of getting the mail) informed me the exact procedure to be followed and the documents he needed and who to meet in his department. The whole procedure was completed within two weeks . I would like to commend the PMC for implementing this technology-driven approach.
