Cell phone companies pay dues

Private cell phone companies on Friday payed dues on property tax for their towers erected in the Pune Municipal Corporation area.

Private cell phone companies on Friday payed dues on property tax for their towers erected in the Pune Municipal Corporation area.

“Various mobile telephone companies deposited a total of Rs 5.47 crore to the civic administration on Friday,” said Vilas Kanade,chief of PMC Tax Assessment and Collection. According to PMC,Vodafone payed Rs 1.51 crore,Reliance payed Rs 1 crore,Airtel payed Rs 1.44 crore and Tata payed Rs 1.52 crore. The PMC has also warned of action if the telephone companies fail to pay the dues of Rs 130 crore for digging roads to lay down their cables.
