On the occasion of the 14th foundation day of the Bharati Vidyapeeth University (BVU) on Sunday,management guru Dr P C Shejwalkar,sociologist Dr Sharachchandra Gokhale,researcher of folk literature Dr R C Dhere,educationalist Dr R G Prabhune,thinker Raosaheb Shinde and educationalist Dr M S Gosavi were awarded with lifetime achievement awards.
Famous Marathi poet Mangesh Padgaonkar and litterateur Anand Yadav were the chief guests of the function. Award consists of Rs 50,000 cash,memento and citation. Padgaonkar said university is not only an office distributing degrees but a place of worship where characters are built. “I am very happy that BVU is walking on this path,” he said. Chancellor Patangrao Kadam,vice chancellor Shivajirao Kadam and secretary Vishwajeet Kadam were also present on the occasion.
Shivajirao released the annual report of BVU. S S Dhaneshwar,S R Dhaneshwar and Subhashchandra Chaturvedi received first prize for the best research paper.
While second prize was won by Varsha Vaidya,P V Chopade and S Jain,Rose Anthony won the third prize.
