Teaching of the regular curriculum has become fun-filled in Shree Gujarati Shikshan Prasarak Mandals English Medium School in Bhavani Peth that has introduced a technique using modern technology.
The e-self learning package introduced by the school will help students learn lessons through the audio-visual medium. We are trying to do away with the regular learning methods by introducing new techniques that will keep students interested in studies, said Taruben Popat,principal of school. E-self learning is a package of CDs prepared by Navneet Publications in which regular lessons of various subjects from class V to X are converted into audio-visual format. The students will be shown these CDs to get better idea of the various concepts they will learn, she said.
She said the school has procured 6 sets of laptop and LCD projector,one each for every standard. Around 300 students in the school will be benefited by the new activity. The content in the CD is based on the SSC syllabus; only thing is it is converted into a more interactive format, said Popat. The facility was inaugurated on Tuesday by chairman of education board of Pune Municipal Corporation Sangeeta Tiwari. Education board chief Ramchandra Jadhav,chairman of school Deepak Mehta,secretary Jitendra Patel and Sudheer Barot were also present.
