Actor Ranveer Singh was in town on Saturday to inaugurate the Reliance Digital store at the Phoenix Market City,Nagar Road. The Band Baaja Baaraat star not only handed out gift vouchers but also sang Rukhmani Rukhmani,from the movie Roja with a girl,who was browsing through electronics at the store,in addition to dancing to the tunes of Ainvayi Ainvayi Speaking about his visit Singh said,”I am thrilled to be at a store which has so many gadgets under one roof.” Singh will next be seen in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl alongside,his co-star from Band Baajaa Baaraat,Anushka Sharma once again.

Unemployment crisis

10%,a novel in Marathi written by Vilas Ekhande Patil,was released on August 13 at Patrakar Bhavan,Navi Peth. Patil in his maiden book has written on the subject of the increasing level of corruption in society due to the unemployment crisis. “The youth of the country does not get jobs according to their degrees and certification. Influential people take advantage of this and ask for commissions of 10 per cent to provide jobs. The corruption starts with 10 per cent and goes upto 100 per cent very soon. This is why I have named my book 10%” says Patil. The novel shows how a person is trapped in the never-ending cycle of corruption when he indulges in 10 per cent corruption himself. Patil’s second novel titled,20% will be based on corruption at higher levels and bigger scams.
