Axis Bank opens branch in Aundh

Stressing on extensive consumer banking,Axis Bank has opened its Aundh branch in the city. S. K. Nandi,President West Zone,Axis Bank,inaugurated the new branch at Astral Court.

Speaking on the occasion of the inauguration Nandi said,that the aim was to focus on extensive consumer banking focus that they were providing across the country and reinforced their commitment to bring superior banking services,marked by convenience and closeness to customers.

Axis Bank has a network of 887 branches,8 extension counters and 3801 ATMs across the country.The branches,spread across more than 554 cities and towns to a large cross-section of customers with an array of products and services catering to both the retail and the corporate segment.

Axis Bank has presence in Singapore,Hong Kong,Shanghai and Dubai,and seeks to expand further its international presence. It has the second largest EDC network,the third largest ATM network in India and also has the fourth largest base of debit cards in the country.

With a customer base of over 100 lakh it provides payroll services to over 20,000 Corporates across 38 Lakh salary accounts. The market capitalisation of the Bank as on August 26,2009 was Rs. 32,970 crores; which makes the Bank the fourth largest in terms of market capitalisation in India.
