Author booked for publishing objectionable content

A case of offence has been registered against author H M Marathe (72),who is contesting the election for the post of president of the 86th Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan,for allegedly publishing objectionable content on the pamphlets that he distributed for his election campaign.

The offence was registered at Kothrud police station following a complaint lodged by Santosh Shinde (30) of Dhankawdi,the Pune district president of Sambhaji Brigade.

Marathe is a resident of Kothrud. Shinde alleged that pamphlets distributed by Marathe among the voters carried objectionable content that could cause enmity between two communities.

Inspector S B Nawale is investigating the case.
