The counting for eight city constituencies and three urban centres – Pimpri,Chinchwad and Bhosari – will take place at Shivajinagar godown and Balewadi sports complex respectively. Of the 1,700 persons will be involved in the counting process on October 22,700 persons will be deployed at the Shivajinagar godown while the remaining will be at various centres in different talukas.
For the other 10 rural constituencies the counting will be held in the respective constituency. According to an official,there would be nearly 80 persons for one constituency and 14 tables for each constituency. The counting will start at 8 am and the rounds will be conducted according to the votes polled and the speed of the persons. There will be one counting supervisor,assistant counting supervisor,peon and a state observer for each table,the official said.
The persons involved in the counting will undergo training on Wednesday. The city had seen only 45 per cent polling the rural areas had more than 50 per cent polling.
