Pune city witnessed post monsoon showers on Friday with the Met department recording 7 mm rainfall.
The north-eastern monsoon winds over Tamil Nadu,Kerala and Andhra Pradesh brought in a lot of moisture and this resulted in the rains,an official from the Met department said. The Met department has also said that eventually the temperatures will dip.
The southwest monsoon retreated from the city on October 13. The withdrawal of the monsoon is assessed after there is reduction in moisture content and the widening gap between the day and night temperatures.
Post this, the Met department had stated that the maximum temperature would be on the rise while the minimum temperatures will dip in the next few days. While there has been a rise in night temperatures, gradually the temperatures are likely to dip, said Met officials.
