30-year-old commits suicide

The body of a 30-year-old man,believed to be mentally unsound,was found hanging from a pole behind a bus-stop in front of the District Collectorate in the wee hours of Friday. Police found a suicide note in his pocket which said he was taking the extreme step due to frustration.

The man,Rajkumar Vitthal Takmoge,a resident of Ghorpadi gaon,was mentally unsound and and has been under treatment for the last two years,police said and added that Rajkumar hanged himself from a pole behind the PMPML bus-stop near the district collectorate.

Around 9 am,a PMPML employee found him hanging from the pole and informed police. A team of Bund Garden police reached the spot and sent the body to Sassoon hospital for post mortem.

Police said Rajkumar was unmarried.

He is survived by his brother and parents. His brother Prakash Takmoge (25) is a dealer in mobile phones. The family reportedly told the police that Rajkumar had a disturbed mind.
