16-year-old girl hangs self

A 16-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide at her home in Pimpri-Chinchwad on Wednesday. According to the police,Bhagirathi Hiremath hanged herself. The police are trying to ascertain the reason why she took the drastic step.

Bhagirathi was preparing for SSC exams with her brother Chidanand. Their parents had gone out,and around 11.30 am,Chidanand went to the market. “When he returned,he found door locked from inside. He called out to his sister,but she did not respond,” said a cop. “When the door was broken open,Bhagirathi was found hanging,” he said.
