Panel for desalination plant

In a bid to expedite the setting up of desalination plants for sea-water,Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has formed a committee comprising three scientists from the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC). “The Officer on Special Duty,Pramod Charankar will look into the technicalities of setting up of the plant”,said Anil Diggikar,Additional Municipal Commissioner.

A total of 16 companies are vying for the post of the project consultant. The consultant will be responsible to do a feasibility study of the desalination plants.
