SEATING TROUBLE
After policemen prevented some journalists from entering the court yesterday owing to lack of enough seating,Judge ML Tahilyani apologised to the media for the inconvenience and the police,in turn, organised a news conference at the NM Joshi Marg police station to take feedback from the media regarding the problem.

FREE ASSISTANCE
The court on Thursday received a letter from a Pune-based advocate (name not disclosed) that he would like to assist special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam in the case. To which,Nikam said “Sir,I welcome the move but I would not be paying him any remuneration”.

PENNYWISE
When special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam strongly opposed lawyer Ejaz Naqvi being appointed private lawyer for accused Fahim Ansari and he being paid remuneration from the state exchequer, the court said,“I believe the state finance minister has been briefing you about huge losses to the treasury and thus you are trying to save every penny of his.”

LAPTOP JUSTICE
Lawyer Ejaz Naqvi seemed to be in a rush during the afternoon session at the special court for taking up the case of accused Fahim Ansari. The first thing Naqvi said was,“Sir,please at least allow me to carry my laptop and batteries, the police can keep the charger. My laptop will help in speedy justice if allowed.”
