Man arrested for molesting children

The families of the girls then approached the Malad police,who arrested the man. However,Motwani was let out on bail by the court on Sunday.

According to the Malad police,Motwani is a small businessman who operates from his residence at Nadiarwala Colony on Zakaria Road. Since the families of the victims knew him,they did not mind their children watching television at his place. Taking advantage of the fact that their parents did not accompany them,he molested them.

“The victims were accused’s neighbour and would often visit his place to watch television,” said Police Inspector Deepak Phatangare of the Malad police.

“After noticing their children’s discomfort,the families approached us. Initially they were hesitant to register a case but finally they did. Motwani was arrested and was granted bail by the court on Sunday,” added Phatangare

When asked why a rape case had not been filed,Phantangare said,“There had not been any rape. The girls had been inappropriately touched by Motwani and had complained to their parents about this. Their parents approached us before things got worse.”
