Tabassum in court: fake doctor threatened me
Veteran actor Tabassum told the Kala Ghoda sessions court Friday that alleged conman and fake doctor Munir Khan had threatened her against complaining about him. Khan had called her on her son’s mobile and later on her landline,she said,her son with her in court. Tabassum,who had appeared in an advertisement for Khan,had filed an intervention application opposing Khan’s anticipatory bail plea,too. Khan has allegedly cheated several people with Body Revival,his “cure for all ailments”. The court has given Khan interim relief from arrest after he said that he had been advised bed rest.

ATS inspector under bribery cloud
The anti-corruption bureau on Friday detained an ATS police inspector for questioning over alleged bribery. Officials said middleman,arrested accepting Rs 2.5 lakh from a club owner,has claimed he had done so on behalf of police inspector Arun Khanvilkar of the ATS’s Kalachowki unit.

Hasan Ali Khan remains on bail
The Bombay High Court dismissed a state government petition seeking cancellation of Pune businessman Hasan Ali Khan’s bail. Charged with fraud in obtaining multiple passports,Khan had got bail from the Sewree sessions court last year. The HC dismissed the counter-appeal as the state has not served a notice to Khan.

Pirated DVD bust
The police’s social service branch and anti-piracy organisation AA Khan & Associates seized over 4,500 pirated DVDs and CDs,worth over Rs 2.65 lakh,in raids on Andheri (W) and Matunga (W). Four people were arrested with discs of Rann,Ishqiya,3 Idiots and Veer.
