Former Sena MLA joins NCP

Former Shiv Sena MLA from Sawantwadi Shivram Dalvi joined the NCP along with his supporters in the presence of Sharad Pawar at a rally at Ganpatipule,Ratnagiri,on Saturday.

Dalvi was elected to the Assembly twice,in 1999 and 2004,from Sawantwadi (Sindhudurg district). Dalvi said he was being wooed by the Congress,but he preferred the NCP because people were valued in the party and there was scope for work. The Congress and the NCP are vying with each other to establish supremacy in Konkan and wooing Sena leaders.
