Robert Randolph to join Buddy Guy at the Mahindra Blues Festival.

An old favourite for a venue,a line-up that boasts of some of the world’s best artistes,with insightful workshops thrown in — the second edition of the Mahindra Blues Festival,to take place on February 11 and 12 at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios,promises to lift the blues of those who love the blues. While five-time Grammy Award winner Buddy Guy will enthrall his Indian fans yet again,the event marks the first visit of funk legend Robert Randolph (of the Robert Randolph and the Family Band). Randolph,who was included by the Rolling Stones in its list of 100 greatest guitarists of all time,is the special guest at the festival. He will be joined by two-time Grammy nominee John Lee Hooker Jr,award-winning Serbian blues guitarist and singer Ana Popovic and Grammy winner Henry Saint Clair Fredericks’s well-known blues outfit,Taj Mahal Trio.
