City Briefs: Paralytic doctors hangs self

A 54-year-old paralytic doctor is suspected to have hanged himself in his residence-cum-clinic in Khar (East) Thursday. Rajendra Borade,owner of Sanjeevani Hospital,left a note blaming his business partner and a developer. Nirmal Nagar police have arrested the business partner,Hidayat Ullah Khan (49),also a doctor,and developer Tayab Tanvar (50) for abetment to suicide. They said Tanvar had not repaid a Rs 9-lakh loan to Borade.

2 convicted of Shah abduction

A Sessions court has convicted two and acquitted two of kidnapping Karnit Shah (5). Sameer Khan (25) and Sujit Kumar Bind (30) will be sentenced Monday. Karnit was kidnapped from outside his house in Kandivali a year ago. He was found after police nabbed the abductors in Handia (UP).
