Saiyaara title track topped YouTube’s 2025 list of trending songs; Mr Beast; Squid Game, Coolie also make presence felt

Besides Saiyaara, YouTube's list of most trending topics also includes Netflix animated musical KPop Demon Hunters and Harshvardhan Rane's re-released romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam.

The Saiyaara title track tops YouTube's list of top songs of 2025.

YouTube has unveiled its 2025 Vibe Check, the year-end lists of all that trended on the platform throughout the year. The trends included not only the most popular creators, but also songs that captured the viewers’ imagination, and the Indian and international films and shows that made waves on the internet round the year.

Top Songs

The title track of Mohit Suri’s blockbuster romantic drama Saiyaara topped the YouTube 2025 list of trending songs. The song, composed by Arslan Nizami, Tanishk Bagchi, Faheem Abdullah, is sung by Abdullah and written by Irshad Kamil. Since the film was produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films, the song is streaming on the YouTube channel of its official music label, Yash Raj Music. The video of the track featured the charismatic new lead actors of the movie — Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. The Saiyaara title track was also on the #3 spot on the trending songs on YouTube Shorts.

Other trending songs included Kalyan Keys, Singer Prabha, and Ramu Rathod’s Telugu track “Ranu Bombai Ki Ranu” on #2, G-Spark and Sanju Rathod’s “Shaky” on #3, Parampara Thakur’s “Raanjhan” from Shashanka Chaturvedi’s Netflix India crime thriller Do Patti, featuring Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh, on #4, and Sheenam Katholic, Mr Boota, Masoom Sharma, Aarohi Raghav, and Kay D’s Haryanvi song “Teri Ramjhol Bole Gi” on #5.

On YouTube Shorts, the top song was ATLXS’Brazilian phonk song “Passo Bem Solto (Slowed)”. Other songs in the list included “Shaky” on #2, the Saiyaara title track on #3, YUNG DSA’s “YEDA YUNG” on #4, D Hell’s Haryanvi song “Mafia” on #5, Audiocrackerr and Khushi TDT’s “Victory Anthem” on #6, Knockwell’s Brazilian Funk Mix cover of late legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar’s song “Tune O Rangeele” on #7, Neha Bhasin’s “Jutti Meri (Live) on #8, Kajal Hathrasi and Anil Rawat’s “Payal Ki Khanak” on #9, and Raju Kalakar, Anjali Arora, Rajan, Rishabh and Deepak’s (Trending Version) cover of Sonu Nigam’s song “Dil Pe Chalai Churiya” on #10.

Trending Topics and Creators

The top YouTube creator of 2025 was MrBeast, thanks to his multi-language audio. Others in the list included Sejal Gaba on #2, South Korean YouTuber KIMPRO on #3, Keshav Shashi Blogs on #4, Tera Trigun on #5, Sirf Shreyansh on #6, Zidaan Shahid Aly on #7, KL BRO Biju Rithvik on #8, Tech Master Shorts on #9, and Raj Shamani on #10.

YouTube’s list of trending topics of 2025 included, in no order of ranking, Netflix’s South Korean reality TV show Squid Game, which debuted its third season this year, and animated musical KPop Demon Hunters; Saiyaara, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Tamil blockbuster action thriller Coolie, starring Rajinikanth; and Radhika Sapru and Vinay Shukla’s romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam, starring Harshvardhan Rane, which became a blockbuster upon its re-release in cinemas earlier this year.
