Woman dies of swine flu,13 more positive
A 23-year-old woman,resident of Mulund (East),died of swine flu on Saturday. BMC health officers said she had been admitted a day earlier to a private hospital. Another 13 people tested positive on Monday,four of them children. Two have been admitted to city hospitals,the rest home-quarantined. Meanwhile,96 people tested positive for malaria and one was admitted for suspected leptospirosis.
BMC lottery gives jobs to engineers
The BMC allotted jobs to unemployed engineers through lottery,a first. It got 82 applications and gave jobs to all,said Rahul Shewale,standing committee chairman. The lottery allotted them wards of work. The applicants included 73 civil and 9 electrical and mechanical engineers.
