The film glossy Cine Blitz,now under Vijay Mallyas VJM Media,recently completed 35 years. And to mark this occasion,on Monday,VJM launched a coffee-table book titled Love and Longing in Hindi Cinema,with Aamir Khan and
Katrina Kaif on cover,enacting the memorable scenes between Guru Dutt and Waheeda Rehman from Pyaasa. Keeping the industrys reputation,the host arrived two hours late,even as some guests began to make their exit. But Aamirs lively presence and light humour,and Katrina in a blue sari made up for all that. Karan Johars presence was a surprise guest.
Showstopper Aamir was asked by a journalist who his favourite leading lady is. He mocked Shah Rukh Khan and said,K-k-kiran. My wife.
A night to remember
Unlike the title of their forthcoming film,Raat Gayi Baat Gayi,the star cast of this film will remember Monday for a long time. The team celebrated the upcoming release at Magic,a lounge in Worli,and partied hard as Anushka Manchanda performed live to the enthusiastic audience. Rajat Kapoor,Saurabh Shukla,Neha Dhupia,Vinay Pathak and Iravati Harshe were later also joined by Pritish Nandy.
Bummer Ranvir Shorey,who gangs up with Vinay,Rajat and Saurabh,was missing from the scene.
