Bollywood technicians drop strike plan

The strike across television and film industry by sound recordists,scheduled for December 8,has been called off. The recordists were protesting in demand of pay hike. Dharmesh Tiwari,who heads the Cinema and Television Artistes Association,said the Film and Television Producers Guild had promised that their concerns would be addressed in the new financial year. “Their response is satisfactory. If the producers don’t keep their word,a strike will be reconsidered,” Tiwari said.
