Backpacking across the World

Twenty-five filmmakers from five continents,11 countries and 16 cities came together to tell the story of one backpack. The result,The Owner,is a collab-feature that will have a worldwide premiere on May 25.

Essentially,the filmmakers from their individual cities pooled in resources to make a feature film,which comprises 25 four-minute segments or short films that are interconnected. The Owner is the story of a lost backpack,trying to get back to its owner as it travels across the world. The film and has been shot on low-cost but high-quality HD cameras. The segments range from funny to dramatic and showcase different cultures,languages and styles of filmmaking.

The Indian filmmakers are Neha Raheja Thakker,Varun Mathur,Vishesh Mankal and Asmit Pathare. While Mumbai will have the release at Fort’s Kitab Mahal on May 25,Alliance Francaise is the venue for Bangalore on May 26.
