She counts celebrities such as Britney Spears and Nicole Scherzinger among her clientele,but not many in India are familiar with her work. And this is exactly what Eva Danielle is aiming to change. An American designer,Danielle has now brought her eponymous label to India,starting with a store in Pune. Based out of Miami,Florida,the label Eva Danielle has earned a reputation for breaking away from the trends of the season and instead focussing on all that looks good. “All leading designers have their own stores in different countries. We,too,want to expand our presence,” she says. Danielle and her brother Harrison Wittels,also the company’s CEO,recollect a trip to India,and how the country’s rich traditions left a lasting impression on them. “India is at a crucial point where it’s making that transition from traditional wear to Western clothes,” says Wittels. The duo now plan set up stores in other metro cities such as Delhi,Mumbai and Bangalore.
