A watchman working in a factory was allegedly stabbed to death by the son of his colleague at a steel factory in Focal Point here this morning. Monetary dispute is stated to be the cause of the murder. The accused was later arrested by the police.
Laljit Singh (60),a migrant from Nepal was working in Ramsons Steels. According to the police,the deceased was stabbed to death by Santosh Kumar,son of Laljits fellow watchman Shibu,also a native of Nepal.
According to sources,both Laljit and Shibu had been working at the factory for quite some time and had been staying in a room on the factory premises.
Sources said that for the past few days,the accused,who had come to the city looking for a job,was staying with his father in the same room.
The police said a heated argument broke out between Laljit and Santosh after which the accused repeatedly stabbed Laljit with a knife. The victim died on the spot.
After committing the crime,the accused fled from the spot but was later arrested. A murder case has been registered against the accused.
