DMCH,University of Oklahoma join hands for advanced urological care
Eminent Urologist and Renal Transplant Surgeon from University of Oklahoma,USA,Dr Puneet Sindhwani on Saturday visited DMCH under American Urologic Association International Exchange Programme. Dr Sindhwani will be working in tandem with Dr Baldev Singh Aulakh (Professor of Urology and Head,Transplant Unit) and his team from January 6 to 11. During his visit,he will be actively involved with the faculty,residents,medical students and urologic fellows to provide latest treatment advances in various fields of urology,especially in prostate cancer,andrology,male infertility,renal transplantation and minimally invasive treatments of enlarged prostate.
CMC doctor talks yoga therapy
The first international conference on Yoga for Health and Social Transformation was organised by Patanjali Yogpeeth at Haridwar from January 2 to January 5. Dr Harinder Singh Bedi,Head of Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery at Christian Medical College & Hospital in Ludhiana presented the experience of CMC in treating patients with severe heart disease with yoga therapy before and after heart surgery. In a pilot study it was found that the results were dramatically better after yoga therapy.
