SAV Jain College gets grant

SAV Jain College has received a central grant of around Rs 8 lakh from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE),for starting an Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC) in the college for undertaking activities for strengthening college-industry interface for mutual benefit.

Dr Anuradha,principal of the college,said that the grant would be utilised for research work and industrial training of MBA and BBA students as a synergistic endeavour of academia and industry. It is the first management college of the city to get such a grant,said the principal.

Under the project submitted to the government,the college will conduct workshops for the students and employees of the different companies in which the teachers of the college would be working in collaboration with senior industry professionals. The students will be sponsored to visits various industrial exhibitions,symposia and workshops. The students will also be undertaking some industrial projects on marketing,finance and human resource management,said Dr Anuradha.
