PSEB engineers protest staff crunch

Punjab State Electricity Board(PSEB) engineers association members today switched off their mobile phones for over 2 hours at the Ferozepur road office.

To protest the lack of staff in their department,the Punjab State Electricity Board(PSEB) engineers association members today switched off their mobile phones for over 2 hours at the Ferozepur road office. Sukhbir Singh,regional secretary said despite promises by the Punjab state power corporation limited (PSPCL),no new engineers were being employed.

The association also accused the management of not making its stand clear on the 1320 MW Mukerian thermal plant.
