The exit of former district Youth Congress president Dimple Rana along with his supporters has started a debate in the Congress circles. While a faction of Congress leaders close to MLA Bharat Bhushan Ashu has blamed district Congress Committee president Pawan Dewan for this scenario they have even said that they will be writing to PPCC president Partap Singh Bajwa,UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi as well Dewan said he would be speaking about this with the PPCC president that discipline in the party was not being maintained.
Satish Sharma,a Congress leader, said,District Congress Committee president need to explain this repeated exit of leaders from the party. It never happened in the past during the tenure of previous presidents. It shows that the president is not trying hard to motivate the workers.
He said he along with others would be writing to the PPCC chief and UPA chairperson to check the state of affairs of the party in Ludhiana.
However,Dewan said,Dimple Rana switched sides, just because he was denied party ticket for Assembly elections. He said the same in his speech as well. In fact,I too was denied a ticket but I am working like a loyal worker. I will speak with the PPCC president to check this indiscipline in the party.
Sharma said many other leaders like Ashok Makkar,Ramesh Joshi and Mahender Lalka had left the party during Dewans tenure and the party needed to set things right before the next Lok Sabha elections.
