Heavy metal content in Buddha Nullah has shown a steep decline after strict measures were imposed by PPCB to check the discharge of effluents by various industrial units.

Heavy metal content in Buddha Nullah has shown a steep decline after strict measures were imposed by PPCB to check the discharge of effluents by various industrial units. According to an official spokesman a recent study showed that heavy metals like Cadmium,Lead and Copper content in the water of Buddha Nullah was negligible. Buddha Nullah was getting polluted due to electroplating units discharging harmful metals into the stream. The board’s recent campaign has stopped eight industrial units from discharging their effluents into Buddha Nullah.
