Patient’s kin create ruckus

The relatives of a female patient created a ruckus at the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTBH) here alleging that the hospital doctors had been trying to fleece them. However the doctors denied the allegation. Due to this ruckus,the police had to be called to the hospital.

Talking to mediapersons,Mukesh Kumar and Mamta,son and daughter,respectively,of Bimla Devi (65),a resident of New Shivaji Nagar,who was to undergo an operation for cancer in her uterus,alleged that at the eleventh hour,the doctor told them to pay a higher amount of money to get the operation done.

On the other hand,the concerned doctor,Dr Vanita Munjal,while talking to the mediapersons,denied these allegations and said that she had rather told them to purchase some medicines and blood for their mother.

The police had to be called to broker peace between the two parties.
