Murder case cracked,one held

Fatehgarh Sahib police have succeeded in cracking the murder case of a migrant labourer by arresting Mohammad Jawahar,a resident of Bihar. Vijay Kumar,a native of UP,was killed on August 13 last year at Mandi Gobindgarh.

Vijay Kumars employer,Ashok Kumar,a resident of Mandi Gobindgarh had lodged a complaint with the police that Vijay Kumar had been killed by unidentified persons.

The accused Mohammad Jawahar a native of Bihar was arrested by police and the iron rod used in the crime was also recovered from him, said Fatehgarh Sahib SSP Kastaubh Sharma. Mohammad Jawahar confessed to his crime and told the police that he was earlier employed with Ashok Kumar and later Vijay kumar joined at his place Jawahar Mohd had a fight with Vijay Kumar a few days ago over tearing of a religious picture which prompted thecrime, said the SSP.
