Missing road link cleared

The residents of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar D block can finally get a road to travel.

The missing link from D block towards the main road was not being constructed for the past many years because of the encroachment in the form of jhuggis.

These jhuggis which were more than 100 in number were finally cleared two-three days back and now the incomplete road is being constructed.

Reportedly the encroacher had been charging rent from the jhuggi dwellers in the range of Rs 500- Rs 800 per jhuggi and was minting good amount of money on monthly basis.

However,finally LIT got the area cleared. A team led by Sukhbir Singh Jakhar,Superintending Engineer was present at the site to construct the road.
