Sources revealed that owner Brij Lal and contractor Jagdev Singh are persuading the worker’s family to reach a compromise and hence police action is being delayed.

Assistant Town Planner Ramesh Chabbra also visited the spot and said that under-construction buildings had nothing to do with bylaws.

The digging of the foundation should have been done a little away from the adjacent wall. As the distance was too close,the extra pressure must have mounted on the next wall which fell on the worker.”
